If you are trying to open an application from the network such as Thunderbird and you are getting a security warning every time you launch the application, the problem occurs because of an update to Internet Explorer 7.0. This issue can be corrected by following the procedure below.

• Open Internet Explorer
• Click on Tools and choose Internet Options.
• Click on the Security Tab
• Click on the Local Intranet Icon
• Click on Sites
• UNCHECK the Automatically Detect intranet network and click OK / OK / OK.

That should take care of the error message.
